Case Study - Oil Analysis

A review of a Lube Oil Monitoring Program showed several missing test parameters on critical machinery. Addition of these highlighted two problems.

It was found that a new oil type had been used in the platforms Gas Turbine Generators 9 months earlier.

The rapid loss of anti-oxidation capabilities suggest that the oil is not suitable for the application.

This will result in a change out of 20,000 litres of oil.
